About the position:  The objective of this position is to position Eaton products and solutions in tenders, thereby increasing Eaton’s market presence and the likelihood of winning projects. The role interfaces with many different internal functions, with the ultimate goal of building application expertise and designing systems that meet even the most complex and high-end requirements of our customers, thus contributing to market success.

Location: 100% home office – Southern Germany


Your tasks

  • Systematic development of relationships with new clients, especially with planning and engineering firms and their decision-makers, and strengthening of existing relationships.
  • Maximizing project knowledge in the start-up phase and influencing planning and engineering firms in the early project phase with a focus on spec-ins in project business.
  • Development of technical solutions/systems in the area of ​​emergency lighting systems and lighting planning (including preparation of tenders/performance specifications) and close cooperation with the field sales team.
  • Presentations and demonstrations of innovative solutions to planners and/or customers with a technical and solution-oriented focus.
  • Coordination and placement of known and processed specified projects together with the sales teams in the respective regions and partners.
  • Identification of all key stakeholders involved in projects as well as project-relevant dates such as the publication of the tender and the award dates.
  • Identifying and utilizing synergy potential in projects and actively involving the energy distribution and uninterruptible power supply sales divisions.

Your profile

  • Completed degree in electrical engineering, training as a technician or master craftsman in electrical engineering, ideally in combination with completed training as an energy systems electronics technician.
  • Relevant, several years of professional experience in the specified field.
  • Actively listening, asking questions and understanding our customers’ requirements.
  • Ability to explain complex technical content in a way that is understandable to non-technical people.
  • Strong customer focus.
  • High level of initiative, entrepreneurial spirit and ability to overcome challenges through creative thinking.
  • Fluent German language skills; good written and spoken English skills desirable.
  • Advantage: Solid technical knowledge of emergency lighting systems and the relevant regulations.
